"EL Development, Kingsford Development top bidders for GLS sites at Slim Barracks Rise"

EL Development topped the bids for Slim Barracks Rise (Parcel A) with a bid price of $320.1 million or $1,246 psf per plot ratio (ppr). Meanwhile, Kingsford Development, which submitted its bid under director and shareholder’s name, Gao Xiuhua, emerged the highest bidder at $162.388 million ($1,210 psf ppr) for the adjacent site at Parcel B. Gao is the wife of Kingsford Development founder Cui Zhengfeng.

The top bid came from EL Development. It was 1.27 per cent higher than the second highest bid of S$316.1 million or about $1,230.2 psf ppr by Gao Xiuhua, one of the owners of Kingsford Development. In 2017, the property developer bought the Normanton Park site en bloc for $830.1 million.

TWO residential with commercial at first storey land sites at Slim Barracks Rise were released for sale on Tuesday, under the confirmed list of the first half 2021 government land sales (GLS) programme, announced the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).
